The Role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to become Diesta’s internal expert on insurance accounting and finance. This role sits at the intersection of finance, product, implementation and customer success.

You will support pre-sales by helping shape solution design sessions with prospects, bring subject-matter expertise into customer implementations, and help customers succeed in using Diesta in their day-to-day financial operations. This includes both proactive support, such as running internal tests and shadow financial control processes, and reactive support through regular customer check-ins and problem solving.

You will also play an important role in the internal development of Diesta’s accounting module, helping ensure it reflects real insurance finance workflows, reporting needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Diesta’s internal subject-matter expert on insurance accounting, finance processes and financial reporting

  • Support pre-sales conversations and design sessions by translating customer finance requirements into practical solutions

  • Work closely with implementation teams to help configure and deliver customer setups aligned with real finance workflows

  • Provide expertise on financial reporting, reconciliation processes and accounting controls during onboarding and rollout

  • Support customers proactively by running internal tests and shadow financial control processes

  • Support customers reactively through regular check-ins, issue resolution and guidance on best practice use of Diesta

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Diesta’s accounting module

  • Feed customer insights and finance requirements back into product development

  • Help strengthen Diesta’s internal expertise and credibility in insurance finance and accounting

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in insurance accounting, finance operations, financial control, or a related finance role.

  • Good understanding of insurance finance processes, reconciliation, reporting and operational controls

  • Ability to work across commercial, product, implementation and customer-facing teams

  • Confidence in engaging with customers and explaining finance concepts in a clear and practical way

  • A hands-on and proactive approach, with strong attention to detail

  • Interest in improving systems, workflows and financial operations through technology

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where the role combines strategic input and day-to-day execution

Our Expectations

Within the first 30 days:

Build a strong understanding of Diesta’s product, customer workflows and current accounting capabilities. Get familiar with our target customers, implementation approach and the main insurance finance use cases we support. Begin contributing to internal discussions around finance processes and product improvements.

Within the first 60 days:

Start actively supporting pre-sales and implementation work as the internal finance expert. Participate in customer conversations, contribute to design sessions, and begin running internal tests and shadow financial control reviews to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

Within the first 90 days:

Operate confidently as Diesta’s go-to expert on insurance accounting and finance. Support customers more independently, add clear value across pre-sales and implementation, and contribute actively to the development of the accounting module based on customer needs and market insight.

Why Join Diesta?

  • Join a mission-driven team addressing real pain points in insurance finance.

  • Be part of a lean, high-performing team with direct impact on product and client outcomes.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model with a central London office (Bank / Liverpool Street)

  • Private healthcare insurance

  • Regular team lunches and international offsites

  • State-of-the-art technical equipment

  • 22 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
